Rasha Thadani revisits her mother Raveena Tandon’s early Bollywood days

Actress Rasha Thadani recently took fans down memory lane by sharing a nostalgic glimpse into her mother Raveena Tandon’s younger years in Bollywood. The actor posted a series of throwback photos on Instagram, featuring unseen moments from Raveena’s early days in the film industry.

The pictures highlight Raveena’s effortless charm and screen presence — qualities that helped her become one of the most iconic actresses of the 1990s. Adding a playful touch, Rasha set the post to the hit song “Akhiyon Se Goli Maare” from the 1998 comedy blockbuster Dulhe Raja, starring Govinda.

Keeping the caption minimal yet emotional, Rasha simply wrote, “Mom.”

Raveena Tandon was quick to respond, dropping a loving comment for her daughter and calling her “Cookiiiieeee,” accompanied by heart emojis.

Released in 1998, Dulhe Raja also featured Kader Khan, Johnny Lever, Prem Chopra and Asrani. The film went on to become the seventh highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year and has since earned cult status as one of Hindi cinema’s most-loved comedy movies.

On the work front, Rasha Thadani made her Bollywood debut last year with “Azaad”, directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The period drama, set in 1920s India, starred Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty alongside debutant Aaman Devgan. The film followed the journey of a young stable boy whose bond with a spirited horse unfolds against the backdrop of rebellion and the freedom struggle.

Rasha will next be seen in “Laikey Laikaa”, directed by Saurabh Gupta, co-starring Abhay Verma. The film is described as a dark love story exploring intense romance, pain and danger.

The actress is also set to make her Telugu cinema debut with filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi’s upcoming project, tentatively titled “#AB4”. Backed by Gemini Kiran under the Chandamama Kathalu Pictures banner and presented by Ashwin Dutt, the film marks another major milestone in Rasha’s growing film career.

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Rasha wrote that she is grateful and thrilled to step into Telugu cinema, calling it a new beginning filled with excitement and anticipation.
