Tanishq unveils its Desert Diamonds collection in collaboration with Rahul Mishra at Paris Couture Week 2026.

Tanishq, India’s largest jewellery brand from the Tata Group, reinforced its international luxury positioning with its fourth consecutive showcase at Paris Couture Week in 2026. The brand unveiled its evocative Desert Diamonds collection in collaboration with internationally celebrated couturier Rahul Mishra.

This milestone marks another defining chapter in Tanishq’s expanding global journey, positioning the maison as a design-led, aspirational jewellery house on one of fashion’s most prestigious stages.

Desert Diamonds: A Celebration of Nature’s Rarity

The Desert Diamonds collection highlights the origin story of natural diamonds—formed deep within the earth over billions of years. These stones embody the landscapes from which they emerge, carrying hues that reflect wild desert terrains.

The collection features a rare spectrum of natural shades, ranging from luminous whites and honey tones to whiskey and sunset browns. Known for their subtle tonal variations and distinctive character, these diamonds are prized by connoisseurs for their rarity, individuality, and quiet elegance.

Each stone is crafted into bold, sculptural silhouettes designed to balance strength and refinement. The collection was developed in collaboration with De Beers Group, underscoring authenticity, traceability, and craftsmanship.

A Couture Dialogue: Alchemy by Rahul Mishra

Rahul Mishra’s Spring 2026 couture collection, Alchemy, presented at Paris Couture Week, explores the elemental forces of air, fire, water, earth, and ether. The narrative reflects transformation, continuity, and the poetic evolution of matter.

His interpretation of these elements mirrors the natural formation of diamonds—patient, powerful, and shaped over time. Through texture, scale, and fluid movement, Mishra translated elemental philosophy into couture, creating a seamless dialogue between fashion and high jewellery.

The Desert Diamonds pieces echoed this philosophy, aligning sculptural forms with Mishra’s nature-inspired silhouettes. Together, couture and jewellery expressed a shared language of balance, resilience, and artistry.

From the USA to India: Expanding the Desert Diamonds Journey

Following a successful debut in the United States, Tanishq is now introducing Desert Diamonds to India. The collection offers Indian connoisseurs access to rare natural diamonds defined by provenance and individuality.

Each showcased creation represents extensive design ideation and hundreds of artisanal hours. Intricate settings and thoughtful construction ensure that every diamond’s brilliance remains central to the design. Conceived as wearable art, the pieces elevate Indian high jewellery on a global couture platform.

Leadership Perspectives

Pelki Tshering, Chief Marketing Officer at Tanishq, noted that Paris Couture Week provides a borderless design platform where Indian jewellery can connect with global audiences through rarity and expression.

Garima Maheshwari, Head of Design at Tanishq, highlighted the deeper creative exchange between couture and high jewellery, emphasizing sculptural forms and nature-inspired detailing that define Desert Diamonds.

Shweta Harit, Global Senior Vice President at De Beers, described the collaboration as a shared commitment to authenticity, natural beauty, and craftsmanship, reinforcing a long-standing partnership.

Rahul Mishra reflected on the collaboration as a meeting of philosophies shaped by time, nature, and human craftsmanship—presented confidently on a global stage.
